Our Mission
At Cybersecurity Wisdom, Greg strives to empower individuals and organisations with the knowledge needed to protect their digital assets.
With a career spanning 35 years he simply wants to help make the digital world a little safer, by helping businesses, vendors and partners have those little a-ha moments, by giving back some of the knowledge and experience he learnt through his career.
My story in getting Cybersecurity Wisdom started: Greg Day
Having started his career at Dr Solomon’s anti-virus in 1991, Greg has literally grown up alongside the cybersecurity industry. Early in his career Greg coded his own endpoint detection (EDR) and protection (EPP) security solution in Assembler.
Much of his career has been (and led teams) in the field CISO consulting, spanning from the deep technical detail: such as real world best practices configurations of security capabilities through to the strategic: policy and strategy creation/reviews right through to executive/board level & nation state advisory work.
He’s helped companies with their strategies be that complying with industry and regulatory standards and frameworks and led deployments of security solutions, across devices in the business, the network and the cloud for G2K companies around the globe for over 3 decades. Greg also ran malware forensics & Incident Response (IR) training for over a decade, training both for companies as well as law enforcement and government agencies staff. He has also led both technical and strategic IR readiness training as well as being the lead in numerous real-world incidents over the years.
During his career Greg has acted as an industry expert advisor, be that through Intellect (now Tech UK) as the Vice Chair of their Cybersecurity working group, being for many years an active member of law enforcement both the UK (National Crime Agencies NCCU) & later Europol’s cybersecurity Industry advisory groups, through to being on the World Economic Forums centre for cybersecurity board and most recently the chair and vice chair of the I-4 CISO closed communities members advisory committee.
Greg is a world recognised thought leader, quoted in both technical media, business new such as the FT and Forbes, through to live news interviews such as SkyNews & the BBC.

Greg has spoken and writen for the World Economic Forum (WEF) as well as numerous editions of the Navigating the Digital Age book series for execs to better understand cybersecurity and their role. A top rated speaker at the biggest annual cybersecurity conference RSAC, for which Greg has had the privilege to lead the Hackers and Threats stream selection committee for over a decade and still counting.
Greg has helped both growing and world class cyber security vendors and partners with their go to market strategy, was on the IP board whilst at Palo Alto Networks, and led numerous sales training and enablement programs. He also has acted as an advisor/mentor to cyber security startups and the VC community including during his career Cylon.
